Terms of Service
Last updated 29 July 2026
These terms cover your use of the ReceiptDrop Chrome extension and related services ("the Service"). By installing or using it, you agree to them.
What the Service does
ReceiptDrop extracts purchase details from receipts you open or upload and writes them to a Google Sheet you own. It is a data-entry tool. It is not accounting software, it is not a bookkeeper, and it does not provide tax, accounting, or financial advice.
You are responsible for your books. ReceiptDrop uses automated extraction, which can misread a receipt. Every result is shown to you for review before anything is written. Please check the numbers — particularly before filing taxes or making sourcing decisions from them.
Your account
- A licence covers one Gmail account (one "seat"). Additional seats require additional subscriptions.
- Do not share your licence key. Sharing may result in suspension.
- You are responsible for activity under your licence.
Plans, billing, and cancellation
- ReceiptDrop is currently in private beta and is free for invited testers. Paid plans, and the allowances attached to them, take effect only when the service opens publicly and you choose a plan.
- Subscriptions bill monthly or annually in advance through Stripe and renew automatically until cancelled.
- You may cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; there are no partial-period refunds.
- If a plan's allowance is reached, processing pauses until the next period or until you upgrade.
- Prices may change with at least 30 days' notice to active subscribers.
Refunds
If the Service does not work for you, email us within 14 days of your first payment and we will refund it. Beyond that, cancel any time to stop future charges.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Resell, sublicense, or white-label the Service without written permission
- Attempt to extract our API keys, reverse-engineer the Service, or bypass usage limits
- Use the Service to process content you have no right to access
- Use it in a way that damages the Service or other users
Third-party services
The Service depends on Google (Sheets and Drive), OpenAI, and Stripe. Your use of those services is also governed by their own terms. We are not responsible for their availability, changes, or outages.
Your data and your sheet
Your buy sheet lives in your own Google Drive and belongs to you. We claim no ownership of your data. If you stop using ReceiptDrop, your sheet and its contents remain yours and unaffected. See the Privacy Policy for what we do and don't store.
Availability
We aim to keep the Service running but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Gmail, Google Sheets, and AI providers can change or fail in ways outside our control. We may modify or discontinue features, and will give reasonable notice of material changes to paying subscribers.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The Service is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost profits, lost data, or bookkeeping or tax consequences arising from extraction errors.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate a licence that breaches these terms, with notice where practical. You may stop using the Service at any time by cancelling and removing the extension.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced to active subscribers by email before taking effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the updated terms.
