Common questions

I don't see the button in Gmail

The button only appears when an email is actually open — not in the inbox list. If you just installed or updated the extension, refresh the Gmail tab first; extensions don't attach to tabs that were already open.

It says this isn't a purchase receipt

That's deliberate. ReceiptDrop refuses shipping updates, marketing emails, and refund notices so they can't pollute your sheet. Open the original order confirmation instead. For a refund, find the original row in your sheet and change its Status.

A price came through wrong

Fix it in the review panel before saving — nothing is written until you approve it. Fields highlighted red are missing; amber means the math flagged something worth a second look, and hovering shows why.

The items don't add up to the order total

Usually a gift card, store credit, or promo code. ReceiptDrop reconciles those automatically when the receipt shows them. If it still doesn't balance, the receipt may have omitted a line item — worth checking before you save.

I want to use my existing buy sheet

Open the setup page and expand "Already have your own buy sheet?" Copy the one-line formula and paste it into any empty cell of your own workbook. Your logged rows flow in automatically and stay updated.

How do I add ASINs?

Type it once in the review panel. Every future purchase of that product fills in the ASIN, your product name, and brand by itself — you'll see a "bought 3×" badge when it recognises something.

I changed my email address

Your licence binds to one Gmail account. Open the setup page, find the seat under Activate, and click Release seat. You can then use the licence on the new account. Releases are limited to one per 30 days.

Google says the app isn't verified

You should not see this on the published version. If you do, you may be running a development build — email us.

How do I cancel?

Email hello@receiptdrop.ai and we'll cancel immediately. Your buy sheet stays in your Google Drive, untouched.
